Khalisa Herman Phillips

My husband and our two children joined TeCOTT in the Fall of 2022. Prior to moving to Middletown, we attended a large Episcopal church. Unlike some of the bigger churches in the area, TeCott is a true community church where we have made close friends, put down roots, and are finding ways to give back to our community. I love the Episcopal Church's liturgy, worship music & choir, and enduring traditions, and my family's connection to the Episcopal Church goes back 3 generations. I am an active member of the Altar Guild, and Children's Ministry, and have been helping with the website committee.

I am a research psychologist by day where I am dedicated to consumer product safety, particularly children's play equipment and toys. I earned my Ph.D. from the University of Maryland College Park, master's degree from Harvard University, and bachelor's degree from Marlboro College. My hobbies include watercolor painting, gardening, and reading historical fiction.
